There are many more places to visit in Valencia, but these are ones I visited.
Hay muchos otros lugares para visitar en Valencia, pero estos son los que yo he visitado.
Points of Interests / Puntos de Interés
- El Mercado Central de Valencia – Here you can find all sorts of products: Fruits, vegetables, grains, meats, seafood etc. There are also stands with products from other countries. And if you haven’t had lunch yet you can eat at one of the stalls that have a bar where you can taste local food. The market is not open on Sunday’s and it closes at 3pm.
- Aquí podrás encontrar todo tipos de productos de alimentación: Frutas, vegetales, granos, carnes, comida de mar etc. También hay algunos puestos con productos de otros países. Y si todavía no has almorzado, puedes comer en uno de los puestos que tienen un barra donde puedes probar comida local. El mercado no esta abierto los domingos y cierran a las 3pm.
- Plaza de La Virgen – This plaza is located on the back of the Cathedral and it is ideal to sit under the sun and have a drink.
- Esta plaza esta ubicada en la parte de atras de la catedral y es ideal para tomar una copa al sol.
- Barrio Del Carmen – This is a trendy neighborhood in the historical area of the city where you can find many cafes and bars.
- Este es un vecindario de moda en el casco viejo de la ciudad, donde podrás encontrar muchos cafes y bares.
- Jardín del Turia – One of the most visited parks in Spain and Valencia, this was once the Turia River of the city until it was deviated due to a big flood. [The park is literary where the river should have been]
- Uno de los parques mas visitados en España y Valencia, este fue en algún momento el Río Turia de la ciudad hasta que fue desviado a causa de una gran inundación. [El parque esta literalmente donde debería estar el río]
- Plaza de Toros de Valencia
- Plaza de la Reina – This plaza is located in front of the cathedral, here you will find small casetas where you can buy local crafts and souvenirs.
- Esta plaza esta ubicada al frente de la catedral, acá encontrarás casetas donde podrás comprar artesanías y recuerdos.
Museums / Museos:
- Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias – I recommend walking through the Turia gardens to get here, it’s worth it / Recomiendo caminar por los Jardines Turia para llegar hasta aquí, vale la pena.
- L’Hemisfèric, El Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe, L’Umbracle, El Oceanográfico, and el Palacio de las Artes Reina Sofia.
- Catedral de Santa Maria – The audio guide comes in many languages / El audio guía tiene varios idiomas
Hotels / Hoteles:
- Casual Valencia Vintage – The hotel had just opened a week before we arrived. The staff is very friendly and the location was perfect. Our room had a pretty street view and the style was a bit hipster. If you get a room on the inside, they are a bit smaller, however, very nice and clean / El hotel había acabado de abrir una semana antes de nuestra llegada. El personal es muy amable y la ubicación perfecta. Nuestra habitación tenia una linda vista a la calle y el estilo es medio hipster. Si te toca una habitación en la parte interior, son un poco mas pequeñas, sin embargo muy agradables y limpias.
Restaurants / Restaurantes:
- Tinto Fino Ultramarino – My favorite restaurant in Valencia / Mi restaurante favorito en Valencia.
- Canela – The paella Valenciana is exquisite and the setting is perfect… sit outside on the terrace / La paella Valenciana es deliciosa y el ambiente is perfecto… siéntate afuera en la terraza.
- El Cafetín – Located in the neighborhood Del Carmen, they had a cool ambiance and good drinks! / Situado en el vecindario Del Carmen, ¡el ambiente chévere y buenos tragos!
- Trencat – Recommended to have breakfast to a coffee / Recomendado para desayunar o tomarse un café.
- Mamá Delicias – This restaurant is located closer to La Plaza de Toros and it is also a great place to have breakfast / Este restaurante esta mas cerca de la Plaza De Toros y también es un lugar muy rico para desayunar.
