[París – Recomendaciones de Bares & Restaurantes]

One of the most dreadful things for me when visiting a new city is finding where to eat or have drinks. I want the BEST, but I hate looking. I want to recommend to you all the Swarm App, I love this app because you can check-in to all the places you go to, and this way they’ll always be saved on your profile, and it’s connected to FourSquare. After having visited Paris many times and since I moved to France, I have a pretty good list of my favorite Paris – bar & restaurant recommendations, I hope you like it! 

Una de las cosas mas terribles para mi cuando visito una ciudad nueva, es encontrar donde ir a comer o tomarme una copas. Quiero lo MEJOR, pero odio buscar. Les quiero recomendar una aplicación que me encanta, Swarm, esta aplicación esta diseñada para hacer “check-in” a los lugares que vayas, y así tendrás guardados todos los sitios en tu perfil, y esta conectada con, FourSquare (una aplicación para buscar restaurantes).  Después de haber visitado a París muchas muchas veces y desde que vivo en Francia, tengo una lista de mis bares y restaurantes favoritos para recomendarles. ¡Espero que les guste!

Restaurants / Restaurantes

1. L’As du Falafel – 34 rue des Rossiers, Paris

its located in the Marais. in this same street, there are other falafel restaurants, but this one is the best (I assure you!). You can sit down and eat inside, or get it to go through the window and take it to eat somewhere. I recommend La Place de Vosges, which is very close by

Queda en el barrio de Les Marais. En esta misma calle hay varios puestos de falafel pero este es el mejor (¡se los aseguro!). Pueden entrar y comer o pedir la orden por la ventana y se lo llevan a comer algún lugar. Yo les recomiendo ir a comérselo a  La place de Vosges que queda cerca.

2.  Siseng –  82 quai de Jemmapes, 75010 Paris, France

This is a delicious asian restaurant, it’s located next to the Canal St.Martin. The restaurant is a bit small so maybe not recommended for big groups.

Este es un restaurante asiatico, delicioso, queda por el Canal St. Martin. El restaurante es un poco pequeño así que tal vez no muy recomendado para grupos grandes.

3. Brasserie Lipp – 151 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris

This brasserie is located in Saint-Germain-de-Prés and it is one of the oldest in Paris. If you can, make reservations before going, the food is really good and you will have a real french experience. Ask for an “aperitif” (a special drink before eating) and a “digestif” (a drink after you’re done eating to help with digestion). This restaurant is on the expensive end, but worth if if you have the money to spare.

Esta brasserie queda en Saint-Germain-de-Prés y es una de las mas antiguas de París. Si pueden hagan reservaciones antes de ir, la comida es super rica y van a tener una experiencia realmente francesa. Pidan un “aperitif” (una bebida antes de comer) y un “digestif” (la bebida al fin de la cena para ayudar a digerir). Este restaurante es algo carito, pero vale la pena si está dispuestos a gastar la platica.

4. Bouillon Chartier – 7 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009 Paris

If you’re looking for a less pricey option of an authentic French restaurant, I highly recommend this one. With over 100 years in the restaurant industry, this is a place where both tourist and Parisians meet to enjoy savory plates at good prices. The queue to be seated can be a bit long so it’s better to arrive a bit early, but it’s very worth it!

Si buscan una opción más económica a un autentico restaurante francés les recomiendo este. Con una trayectoria de 100 años, este es un punto de encuentro de tanto turistas como parisinos para disfrutar de deliciosos platos típicos a buen precio.  La cola para entrar puede ser algo larga, así que es mejor llegar con tiempo, pero vale mucho la pena. Es Bueno, Bonito y Barato.

5. Marché des Enfants Rouges – 39 Rue de Bretagne, 75003 Paris

Created in 1615, this is the oldest food market in Paris. Here you can find fruits, vegetables, food in general, and small restaurants (Italian, asian, middle east food).

Este es el mercado de alimentos mas viejo de París, creado en 1615. Acá podrán encontrar tanto frutas, verduras, alimentos en general, y pequeños restaurantes de comida italiana, asiática, medio oriente etc.

6. Le Dépanneur –  27 rue Pierre Fontaine, 75009 Paris

An amazing hamburger place very close to Moulin Rouge / Un lugar de hamburguesas riquísimas cerca a Moulin Rouge.

7. Brooklyn Café – 31, rue des Batignolles
75017 Paris

In the Batignolles neighborhood you will find this restaurant that will take you back to New York. American food with a touch of French! They also have a very good brunch on Sunday’s.

En el barrio de Batignolles encontraran este restaurante con aire Neoyorkino. ¡Es comida americana con un toque francés! También tienen un brunch muy rico los domingos.

8. Crêperie des Canettes – 10 rue des Canettes, Paris

In the neighborhood of Odéon you will find many restaurants and crêperies, this one should definitely be on your list!

En el barrio de Odéon encontraran muchos restaurantes y crêperies, ¡esta definitivamente es recomendada!

9. Le Relais Gascon 

If you want traditional French cuisine from the Southwest of France for a good price this is the place to be. They have two locations, both in the Montmartre neighborhood.

Si quieren probar comida típica del sudoeste de Francia a buenos precios, este es el lugar. Tienen dos ubicaciones, las dos en el barrio de Montmartre.

10. Les Pâtes Vivants

This is a GREAT noodle house for all the noodle lovers out there. They have two locations.

Este es un restaurante de noodles/fideos DELIIII, así que si les gusta este palto y la comida china en general se los super recomiendo. Tienen dos ubicaciones.

Brunch

1. Lockwood – 73 Rue d’Aboukir, 75002 Paris

This is a bar, café, and restaurant, that’s open all day (something not common in Paris). The brunch here is very good, and the place is very original.

Este es un bar, café y restaurante, que esta abierto todo el día (algo que no acostumbran en París). El brunch de acá es super rico, y el lugar es muy original.

2. Face Bar –  82 rue des Archives, Paris

Located in the Marais, the brunch here is exquisite. Remember to make reservations with time since the place is very small.

Este sitio queda en Les Marais, y el  brunch acá esta exquisito. Recuerden hacer reservaciones con tiempo ya que es pequeño.

3. Manfred – 1 Rue Réaumur, 75003 Paris

Manfred is a nice brasserie to have dinner, lunch, or just to have a drink. But I specially recommend the brunch here. The prices are reasonable and they have terrace that is perfect for a Sunday brunch.

Manfred es una brasserie rica para venir a cenar, almorzar, o tomarse alguito. Pero les recomiendo en especial el brunch de aquí. Los precios son razonables y tienen una terraza perfecta para un brunch los domingos.

Bars / Bares

1. Le Comptoir Général – 80 Quai de Jemmapes, 75010 Paris

This is a bar/café and they also have a brunch. The place is super cool, it’s very hard to explain but the environment/style is eclectic, hippie, and colonial. The place is on the Canal St. Martin, and it’s a bit hidden. So if you get to the address and think it’s no there, it is, just keep going to the back.

Es un bar/café y también tienen brunch. El lugar es super bacano, es difícil a explicar pero tiene un ambiente/estilo ecléctico, hippie, y colonial.  El lugar queda sobre el Canal St.Martin, y esta medio escondido. Así que si llegan a la direccion y piensan que no es ahí, si es ahí, sigan.

2. Le Perchoir – 14 rue Crespin du Gast, París

The terrace of this place is AMAZING, and the view… no words. It’s a bit pricy, but it’s worth it, at least for a cocktail. The pace is really cool and they also have food (to eat is better to make reservations), in the summer they have BBQ’s in the terrace during the weekend.

La terraza de este lugar es ESPECTACULAR, y la vista…sin palabras. Es algo carito, pero vale la pena por lo menos para ir a tomarse un coctel. El lugar es muy chevere y también tienen comida (para comer es mejore reservar), ahorita en el verano tienen asados en la terraza los fines de semana.

3. Le perchoir Marais – 37 rue de la Verrerie 75004 Paris, París

This one is from the same owners as the previos one, and they also have a very nice terrace. it’s located in the Marais

Este es de los mismos dueños del anterior, y también tiene una terraza super bacana. Queda en el barrio de Les Marais.

Sweets / Dulces 

1. Angelina –

There are Angelina’s all over Paris, it is specially known for its hot chocolate (its practically pure chocolate) and its pastries.

Angelina los hay por todo París, es especialmente conocido por su chocolate caliente (casi que chocolate puro) y la pastelería.

2. Berthillon – 29-31 Rue Saint-Louis en l’Île, 75004 Paris

One of the best ice-cream places in Paris. It’s located in the Île Saint Louis. get an in-cream here and go walk around the island (very romantic).

Una de las mejores heladerías de parís. Queda en la Île Saint Louis. Comprese un heladito y caminan por la islita (un plan muy romántico).

3. Café de Flore –  172 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris

This café is located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and it’s one of the oldest in Paris. It is famous for the clientele that used to come here, Picasso, Georges Bataille, and Robert Desnos among others.

Este café queda en el barrio de Saint-Germain-des-Prés, y es uno de los mas viejos de París. Es famoso por la clientele que solía concurrirlo, Picasso, Georges Bataille y Robert Desnos entre otros.

4. Shakespeare and Company Café – 37 Rue de la Bûcherie, 75005 Paris

This is a coffee shop that’s right next to the anglophone bookstore, Shakespeare and Company, which you must also visit.

Este es un cafe que queda justo al lado de la librería anglófona, Shakespeare and Company, la cual también tienen que visitar.
